Health Information Reminders:
Please monitor your child for symptoms such as fever (100.0°F or higher), cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, headache, body aches, fatigue, vomiting, or diarrhea. If your child has a fever or is feeling unwell, they should remain home until they are fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication and symptoms are improving.
Please do not medicate your child before sending them to school if they have cold/flu-like symptoms. If they require medication to get through the day, they should stay home.
To help prevent the spread of illness, we encourage:
Frequent handwashing with soap and water
Covering coughs and sneezes with a tissue or elbow
Avoiding close contact with others when sick
Staying home when ill
Receiving the annual flu vaccine, if not already done
If your child is diagnosed with the flu, please notify the school. If you have questions or concerns about your child’s symptoms, contact your healthcare provider. I have attached a list for when to keep your child home for guidance.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us keep our school healthy.
Sincerely,
Nurse Cambridge
