There are two sections of seventh grade mathematics. All seventh-graders use the Prentice Hall Mathematics Common Core Course 2. The Pre-Algebra section finishes the text in the spring and begins an introduction to linear equations and their graphs in preparation for Algebra 1 in Grade 8.
